Magi is a confident lady. Everything she wished for came true. Some she didn’t wish for, but a lot manifested in her favor. She’s smart and resourceful and through that, she can create a path where there is none. She weaves her resources to create opportunities. Everyone thinks she’s great but for her, she’s just lucky because she has the most powerful Magic Wand in the world.
ย
When she wants something for herself or for others, she just flicks the Magic Wand and waits for the wish to become real. People look up to her. Sometimes, they tell her their problems and expect her to fix them. And she did, most of the time. Every time she feels tired of helping and surviving, she flicks the Magic Wand to give her the energy boost to continue what she does.
ย
However, one day, the Magic Wand vanished. She searched for it everywhere but it won’t show itself. She thought The Heaven is mad because she created so much, excelled so much, and she thought she did too much.
Saddened by the incident, she went home and reflected on her past doings. Was she too much for wanting the best for herself? Was she too much for wishing good for her family and for the community she’s in? Did she break rules? But everything she did was for the good! How come The Heaven is angry and took away her Magic Wand? How can she survive without it?
ย
More days passed, she turned down a lot of friends asking for her help. What would she do with empty hands?
ย
“๐ด๐ ๐๐ ๐ผ โ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ค๐๐๐ ,” she muttered to herself while wallowing in despair.
ย
Adding salt to the wound, everything she previously created with her Magic Wand is starting to fade away. The flowers in her garden are withering fast. She heard the couple next door fighting again (which means she had to endure listening to their arguments again). She received a phone call from her company telling her she’s fired.
ย
She laid down the bed that night but not to sleep. She just laid there staring at the ceiling, waiting for a miracle to happen. Maybe sheโs waiting for herself to wake up as if everything is just part of a bad dream. But it’s not a dream.
ย
The next day, she went out of her garden to see what else she can do given that she’s jobless and she doesn’t have any appointment out of the house. She scanned her backyard and saw her dying roses and daffodils. She saw how the weeds took over the spaces for her beloved plants to grow. With nothing else to do, she pulled out those wild green intruders, picked up the garden hose, and watered the plants even if they seemed hopeless. She spent her entire day organizing her garden.
ย
The next day, she went into her garden again and did the same. She watered the plants, checked if there are weeds and pulled them out, and planted more seeds even if she didn’t know the variety. She did that every day… until she noticed something.
ย
Different colors are popping out everywhere! Browns are replaced by greens; there are reds, oranges, whites, and yellows! Futility is replaced by hope! More flowers are budding! Her garden finally looked like the garden she created with her Magic Wand!
ย
“๐๐๐ค!” she exclaimed.
ย
That night she laid down on the bed in a happier mood than the nights before. She finally created something with her hands. Her own hands! She pulled weeds, watered the plants, took care of the garden. With her own hands!
ย
The next morning, she heard a knock on the front door. When she answered it, it was her female neighbor, Julie, holding out a brown paper bag.

Julie thanked her. They spent a little more time together checking out the plants.
ย
That night, Magi went to bed with a huge smile on her face. She never really needed the Magic Wand. That night, she decided to live again…
ย
“๐ด๐ ๐๐ ๐ผ โ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ค๐๐๐ ,” she said to herself, more confident than ever.
ย
Her hands are empty and the power is within her… Unseen but radiating, waiting to be unleashed. The Magic Wand is a mere decoration.

- Are there instances when you felt powerless because something was taken away from you? What did you do to recover? How did you cultivate the strength to get up and move forward?
- What is the Magic Wand in your life now?
- What is the withering garden in your life now?
- Is the story relevant to your current situation? How?
- If you would continue the story, what could be Magi’s next step having realized her power?

Here’s a story I wrote for a Seeker last September 22, 2021. It was my first time writing a story in the Indigo Reading and I found no issues while writing it. Maybe I was really called to write it.
I decided to share here because this is a memorable one for me as a tarot practitioner. I hope this will kickstart a deeper reflection on your part.
Stay sparky, Seekers!
